Paul Noritaka Tange, president of TANGE ASSOCIATES, and Yasumichi Morita, president and representative director of GLAMOROUS co., ltd., who both worked on store environment design in the redevelopment of the Isetan Shinjuku main store, have been in charge of the store planning and design. Departing from the traditional form of a department store, the store design, which will be the first of its kind for an overseas store, has a pavilion on each floor to make the entire floor resemble a Japanese circuit-style garden, each floor is designed to generate its own distinctive appeal while serving the common theme.
When i walked around ISETAN The Japan Store, i was like "OMGGGGGG!!! i thought i was in ISETAN Japan!" From the counter design, the Japanese staffs, their customer service, exquisite and Zen interior designs, i can truly experience the authentic Japanese depato!
*depato is department store in Japanese*
All of the shops on the six floors will feature high-quality product lineups from Japan and its regions. Over 200 brands being released for the first time will be on display and for sale.
